Lisa Sinclair

Operations Coordinator
Who I am at IHTC? Based in our head office in Glasgow, from my desk (a reclaimed, big red classroom door with scaffolding legs designed and commissioned by Danny!) I run the day to day operations. With the guys in and out the office and traveling all over the place, I act as the constant force to keep everything in order. I manage all process and management platforms both internally and 'client facing'. In my previous position at Hewlett Packard I played a big part in the ISO 9001 certification process which I'm currently heading up and working through here at Infracore HQ. This allows me to continually improve what we do as a company and how we do it, in real time. And there is never a dull moment.
Who I am outside IHTC? Outside of work I spend most of my time socialising with friends and family. I have always loved music and wanted to be a singer when I was younger but I am too shy to sing in public so I save it for the car! When I have some free time I’ll get stuck in to a good book, I have a bit of an obsession with all things Harry Potter. Although I don’t get much time to myself these days as our family has a new puppy – Oscar the American Cocker Spaniel. He is a handful but fits right in with us – I couldn’t imagine life without him now!

Simon Elliott

Who I am at IHTC? I've been in this business for over 30 years. Starting off in car audio and moving through the industry via retail, distribution and custom installation with some of the biggest names in the game. My wide ranging experience and skills give me the best possible qualification to take on every job Infracore throws at me. I head up the Post Contract side of the business but pretty much have a hand on most things we undertake. Infracore gives me the opportunity to be creative in many areas, not just technically. I enjoy building relationships with clients and colleagues in other disciplines of the construction and property industry.
Who I am outside IHTC? I am a family man, who enjoys his time at home. I like long walks with the dog and have a passion for all things with internal combustion engines, particularly aviation and cars. I read avidly, and am never without an audiobook on the go in the car. I am at my most relaxed when enjoying a really good cigar on a hot summer Sunday afternoon with the family around for a bbq.

Davy Currie

Director
Who I am at IHTC? My main job is running the show, new business and keeping everyone happy. I spend probably half of my time working on Infracore and the other half working in it. This gives me a rounded and calculated view on what we do as a company. I've been in the industry for 15 years and ran various Installation companies until I started Infracore with Jack in 2014. So I learned at the coal face by failures and successes. I believe this has given me a unique schooling for my role in Infracore. My goal is to fundamentally change the landscape, standardise, professionalise and bring the home technology sector in line with all other construction industry disciplines. Exciting times.
Who I am outside IHTC? I'm never really outside Infracore. I'm always on. Which is good and bad (depending on where you're standing). So I'd say in tandem with Infracore I'm most importantly a dad and husband to my two sons and my lovely wife (who is and since day one has been my rock). My weaknesses include red wine, rich food and cuban cigars which I counter with going to the gym, dabbling in Triathlon and most recently marathon running. I'm happiest surrounded by my friends and family whilst in the kitchen cooking supper (which always starts as dinner). My biggest strengths are loyalty and tenacity. I love my job and I consider myself a lucky man.

Jack Haughey

Director
Who I am at IHTC? Qualifying from Newcastle University with a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, I quite by accident fell into the Voice & Data sector with Reuters (and other large investment banks). Then I met Davy and Voice & Data changed to Home Networking. Home Networking then changed to Multi-room AV, to Home Cinema to Lighting to Controls - evolving into fully integrated ‘all singing, all dancing’ systems. Fifteen years later and here I am, the consultant. Can't do one without having done the other. My primary role in Infracore is looking after our Live Contract projects. Although like my colleagues, I lend a hand in all areas. I'm the guy that gets on a Sunday morning flight (with eight hours notice) and carry a tool bag in my boot. Old habits die hard but needs must.
Who I am outside IHTC? Outside of Infracore, I’m a family man these days. Young children keep you busy, so spend a lot of time visiting extended family & friends, although value time just spent at home. I would like to say I’m fairly active - football, golf, swimming. Although with limited ‘free’ time, seem to be getting worse by the day. Getting older may also have something to do with it!!

Danny Campbell

Consultant
Who I am at IHTC? I was two thirds of the way towards becoming a qualified architect when I joined Infracore at the beginning of 2016. My design skills (technically and creatively) were a perfect fit for Infracore when I joined the team and the ambition and direction of the business has kept me enthralled from day one. I have worked with a number of property developers and architecture practices along with various other design types. This experience, together with that of my fellow directors allows me to produce documentation with substance and style that often breaks the status quo to filter out the noise. Every document that leaves Infracore is produced and/or rubber stamped by me. Documents are a large part of what we do and I ensure there is nothing standard about what we produce. Standard just doesn't go out the door. If it did I wouldn't be here.
Who I am outside IHTC? Rugby is my sanity and a commitment that comes above most others. Getting battered and bruised on a Saturday is a useful therapy to keep life in perspective with many skills that transfer into a business setting. Having a small son is also a healthy reminder to keep on a positive trajectory and not to get complacent.

For our business to work we need good people to work with. We're not competitors (unless you do exactly what we do and we don't think there is anyone else currently doing this in the way we do it). Also, we can make this industry better by putting our heads together. There needs to be collaboration. But not in a governing body type of way. Ours is a different agenda. It's a level playing field. We're not precious in the least bit so show us what you've got. Suppliers, Manufacturers, Collaborators. Challenge us, correct us, educate us, work with us. Two heads are always better than one.

GET AHEAD OF THE GAME

We want to expedite things and cut down the pre-sales time for you. Genuinely. Make things less protracted. This works for the client too. If you're a good fit and the price is right then lets get going. If we've got you on the system, all suitably qualified parties will get an immediate crack at tenders. We don't have our favourites. It's too small an industry. Although we do have people we work with again and again (but that's not to say though that they get every project!). Stage 1 will be on a five day turn around, but you'll need to 'pre-register' to find out how this is done and why it's easily doable.

We don't really have lunch, too much of a luxury and dinner means wine and wine means reduced pace the following day. So breakfast it is. Nice and early. Before the phone starts to ring. Infracore International Breakfast rules apply; we pay for clients, suppliers pick up the tab and JV partners go dutch!     Your appointment and arrival through the door at Infracore will instigate a re-shuffle with our current management structure. Simon will concentrate more on Aftercare and support (post Contract) and you’ll be working with Jack and Davy to begin with on the Live Contract projects. Davy will then take a step back and concentrate solely on Pre Contract and Business Development leaving you to work alongside Jack until you’re up to speed and ready to take over.

    Your Role:

    The role itself to begin with will entail producing/implementing/issuing/managing of; Contract Administration, Design & Specification Changes, Change Validation, Variations, Valuations & Applications, Interim Payment Certificate, Client Instructions, Project Management, Programme Bridging, Project Takeover, Snagging, Close Out, Witness Testing, O&M, PC & Final Completion Certificates/Sign off, Defects and Disputes.

    Your experience:

    We’d be open to talk with you if you’ve got the technical experience but in a different sector (for example in Construction, M&E or Asset Management to name a few). AV and Custom Install experience would be preferable but not essential. It’s definitely worth a conversation so please don’t discount yourself if you don’t know your 4K’s from Control4’s.

    Hours are flexible so it’s swings and roundabouts, you’ll know as well as we do it’s not a 9 to 5 industry. The majority of our projects are currently in London but this is going to change a lot this year with our new offices opening in Glasgow and Amsterdam.

    Infracore is a fast paced and dynamic company with some of the best clients and suppliers in the world. As such our documentation has to reflect this, and we aren’t afraid to reinvent the wheel when it comes to presentation. This is why we are bringing someone on board to work on this (almost) full time - it makes perfect sense. You would need to be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite software as well as Autocad, we have dabbled in After Effects as well as the physical print (ask us about the mega drawing), the bottom line is we aim for more unique and more Infracore than any off the shelf solution.

    Your Role:

    We are on the look out for an aspiring designer to join us, starting in 2020. This is a new position within the business and a key feature in our ongoing growth plan. The role will be split between managing our digital development strategies and assisting Danny with producing project documentation - training for this will be given, but photoshop/autocad/sketchup skills will be an advantage with an interest in developing your software skills being an attractive character trait.

    If you are an ambitious and talented graduate, or a graphic designer looking to develop your software skills, don't discount yourself. The person we are looking for will make this role their own and come with us as we open our unique offering worldwide.

Currently our MD Davy is covering a number of roles and directing the company with his vision for the future and how to stay ahead of the curve. For the business to grow exponentially we would benefit from the managerial responsibilities being taken away from Davy to allow him to develop and sell the services. There would be a healthy change over period and you would be expected to get to know the personalities as well as the responsibilities that you would be managing.

    Your Role:

    You would be responsible for the overall running of the day-to-day business, target delivery and growth strategies. If you’re looking for a cushy job - do not apply - this role is for the ambitious individual who can make the most of potential. You will work alongside Davy and assist him in delivering his vision for AV consultancy to the world, whilst dotting the ‘i’s’ and crossing the ’t’s’ as you go.

    Your experience:

    You should have had successful managerial experience previously - we expect to be blown away by your accomplishments. maybe you’ve had a start up that you’ve sold or you been involved with AV companies before? If you have no AV experience do not discount yourself, the role is for a personality type as much as anything, this role is for winners.

    Your lifestyle:

    To get to the interview stage you will have a proven track record and a drive to succeed. The working hours are flexible with the role being goal orientated. The majority of our projects are currently in London but this is going to change a lot this year with our new offices opening in Glasgow and Amsterdam.
